Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training and safety training.
• Previous yarn or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read specs and product information.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn.
• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to inspect yarn.
• Attend job-related training as directed by supervision.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
