Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Twister Operator for the C shift in a manufacturing setting in Chatsworth, GA. You will set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn, ensuring efficient production and safe operation.

Responsibilities include loading yarn, threading, monitoring output, quality checks with light-based methods, and adhering to safety procedures. Prior yarn/manufacturing experience is preferred; health and environmental safety training is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Required health and environmental safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
