Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Dalton, Georgia is seeking a Twister Operator for the D shift to set up, operate and tend a frame of yarn-twisting machines. You will load yarn, reposition buggies, and manage doffing of twisted packages while maintaining safe, efficient production.

The role requires attention to quality checks, adherence to procedures, and the ability to work in an industrial setting with moving equipment and variable temperatures. Prior yarn/manufacturing exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn together.
• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into twister; reposition buggies and stage tubes.
• Thread ends, operate spindle, repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to verify yarn.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies; housekeeping tasks.
