Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is hiring a Twister Operator for the B shift in Rome, GA. You will set up, operate, and tend to multiple machines that twist yarn, ensuring safe, efficient production and quality checks throughout the shift.

The role requires basic math, teamwork, and ability to read specifications. Training and safety compliance are emphasized, with responsibilities spanning loading yarn, troubleshooting, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creel and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
