Job summary

Mohawk Industries in Dalton, GA is seeking a production team member to set up, operate, and tend to yarn twisting machinery. You will creel yarn, load tubes, monitor output, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures. Prior yarn/manufacturing exposure is a plus; HS diploma preferred; position is on-site with physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
