Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Twister Operator A Shift in Chatsworth, GA. The role involves setting up, operating, and tending to yarn-twisting machines, loading yarn, and monitoring output to ensure safe, efficient production.

You will perform quality checks, follow SOPs, and participate in on-the-job training and general housekeeping within an industrial setting. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred prior yarn or manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn.
• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend training as directed by supervision.
• Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping and other tasks as assigned by management.
