Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, seeks a production associate in Dalton, GA to support yarn processing operations. You will set up, operate, and tend yarn-twisting machines, load yarn, and transfer packages along the line, while monitoring production and ensuring safety and quality.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, on-the-job and safety training, and preferred yarn/manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Successful completion of all required on the job training.
Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and tend to yarn-twisting machines.
Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
Reposition buggies of yarn and stage tubes for winder operation.
Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts.
Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them to a buggy/container.
Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency.
Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
Attend training as deemed necessary by supervision.
Follow established SOPs and safety procedures; perform housekeeping.
Perform other tasks assigned by management.
