Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a production operator to set up and run yarn-twisting machines in a manufacturing environment. The role involves handling multiple yarn packages, loading into twisters, and ensuring efficient operation with strict safety practices.

Responsibilities include maintaining machine readiness, performing quality checks, and adhering to SOPs. Prior yarn or manufacturing experience is preferred, with emphasis on teamwork and attention to detail in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of required on-the-job training
• Completion of required health and environmental safety training
• Previous yarn/manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn together
• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into twister
• Reposition buggies of yarn and stage tubes for winding
• Thread ends of yarns, operate spindle, repair breakouts
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to buggy/container
• Monitor production and machine safety
• Clean and maintain spindles for efficiency
• Perform quality checks using visual/black light checks
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety rules
• Attend training as required
• General housekeeping and related tasks
