Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a production to assist with operating and tending to yarn twisting machinery in our manufacturing environment. The role involves loading yarn, monitoring machines, and performing quality checks to ensure efficient, safe production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend job-related training as directed by supervision.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
