DePaul University in Chicago seeks a Tutoring Center Coordinator to lead the Driehaus College of Business Tutoring Center, directing program development, staff supervision, and strategic initiatives to enhance student learning and retention.

The role oversees three Graduate Assistants, partners with faculty and advisors, and uses data to improve services, accessibility, and outcomes, while promoting an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Business, Counseling, or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in academic support, advising, tutoring services, learning assistance, student success programs, or related areas.
• Experience supervising student employees, peer educators, tutors, or Graduate Assistants.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and effectively manage a part-time leadership role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Teams, and Excel; ability to collect, analyze, and report data using spreadsheets and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and strategic direction for the Tutoring Center to ensure services align with academic success and retention goals.
• Directly supervises three Graduate Assistants and oversees recruitment, training, scheduling, and development of student tutors.
• Serves as primary liaison between the Tutoring Center, faculty, advisors, and college leadership.
• Leads collection, analysis, and reporting of tutoring utilization and student success data to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Supports student success through outreach, referrals, and direct intervention for students facing academic challenges.
• supervises Graduate Assistants and spending ~25% of time on hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitors annual tutoring budget and tracks tutor payroll expenditures.
