Job summary

DePaul University’s Career Management Center seeks an Assistant Director of Career Coaching - Co-op to guide business undergraduates through the co-op process with individual coaching and workshops. The role focuses on resume optimization, mock interviews, assessments, and targeted job-search strategies.

The position involves coordinating employer contacts, delivering group programming, and maintaining records on student outcomes, contributing to DePaul’s reputation as a premier talent pipeline

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in career services, career coaching, academic advising, or student development in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one career coaching and advising to business undergraduates focusing on accounting and finance students; conduct resume/cover letter reviews; facilitate mock interviews; administer career assessments; guide co-op search strategies and maintain an active caseload of students.
• Design and deliver workshops on resume writing, interviewing, networking, professional etiquette, LinkedIn optimization, and career exploration; lead group coaching and cohort-based programming; create educational resources and content.
• Collaborate with employers through site visits and events; serve as liaison between students and employers; gather feedback to improve coaching strategies; participate in employer events and networking opportunities.
• Track and analyze data on student engagement, progress, and outcomes; maintain records in career services platforms; monitor milestones and placement outcomes.
