Job summary

Gerdau North America is seeking a Turning Bay Operator responsible for safe operation, setup, quality inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Turning Bay equipment to meet customer requirements and production standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in manufacturing; strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality are essential.

Qualifications

Three or more years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Operate, set up, and monitor Turning Bay equipment and related systems.
Load and unload materials, ensuring correct routing and data entry into HTIS.
Perform quality inspections, gauge verification, and 100% ZF inspections.
Identify and process non-conforming material per MQ1 procedures.
Follow customer requirements, SOPs, and safety policies; perform preventive maintenance.
