Job Purpose:The Turndown Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms are prepared for a comfortable and restful night's sleep. This includes maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, providing personalized service, and enhancing the overall guest experience by anticipating and addressing guest needs.Key Responsibilities:Perform turndown service by preparing guest rooms for the evening, including turning down beds, placing chocolate, refreshing towels, and replenishing amenities.Ensure guest rooms are clean, tidy, and welcoming by conducting thorough inspections and addressing any issues or discrepancies.Provide personalized service by accommodating special requests and preferences, ensuring guest satisfaction and comfort.Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of responsibility, adhering to hotel policies and procedures.Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the housekeeping supervisor to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for guests.Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance the overall guest experience.Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, upholding the hotel's standards of service and hospitality.Ensures that the guest room/suite is clean and straight.Ensures that the guests’ requests are met, seeking assistance from other departments or managers if needed. Does not bother “Do Not Disturb” signs but services “Service Requested”.Reports any damage or extraordinary circumstances to the supervisor.Follows hotel and departmental procedures unless instructed otherwise by a managerFollows VIP procedure for arriving and in-house VIPs.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality roles.- Familiarity with hotel operations and guest services.Required Skills and Abilities:- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and staff.- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and cleanliness standards.- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
