Job summary

Lloyds Bank, based in New York, seeks a Relationship Director to lead complex lending relationships within the Corporate & Institutional Banking BSU. You will partner with Recoveries teams, sanctioners, and product partners to drive turnaround and recovery strategies for viable clients.

Deliverables include negotiating credit actions, coordinating with legal advisors, and ensuring robust risk controls while maintaining client relationships across the bank.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of legal documentation, accounting and credit practices for debt products and hedging/structured transactions.
• High numerical accuracy and strong communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement credit strategies to support turnarounds or recoveries.
• Represent the Bank in creditor groups, steering committees, and recovery forums.
• Coordinate with external advisors to optimize repayment strategies and risk mitigation.
• Perform credit routines and ensure data quality across systems and impairments assessments.
• Provide information to senior management to monitor risk and operational efficiency.
