Job summary

Ultra Machining Company in Monticello, MN is seeking a Turn Machinist to lead setup and operation of Turn machines, ensuring quality and efficiency in daily production. You will meet production goals, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years as a machinist, with preferred experience on Mori Seiki or DMG Mori Turn machines, and strong GD&T and G-code skills. This onsite position offers a stable schedule and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Machining or related field, or work experience in place of education.
• 2+ years’ experience as a machinist.
• Mori Seiki or DMG Mori Turn experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate machines for all jobs, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production issues with support from Supervisors and Engineers to ensure smooth production flow and conduct in‑process inspections to verify specifications.
• Assist Machinists in diagnosing and resolving technical issues during machining, using analytical problem solving to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe working environment and uphold a proactive safety culture by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
