Job summary

METAL CRAFT, a precision machining company in Elk River, MN, seeks a Machinist for the Turning department. The ideal candidate will set up and operate turning machines, read blueprints, and ensure quality and efficiency in production of metal and plastic work pieces.

We value a candidate with 2–5 years CNC experience, an associate degree in machining, and strong GD&T knowledge. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with health, dental, vision, 401K, profit sharing, holiday pay, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in machining or equivalent, plus relevant experience.
• 2–5 years CNC machinist experience required.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate turning machines per routings.
• Read blueprints and job routings for specs and tooling.
• Adjust offsets, wear lengths, and tool compensation.
• Perform quality checks and document tolerances.
