Job summary

Ultra Machining Company in Monticello, MN is seeking a Mill/Turn Machinist to set up and operate Mill/Turn machines, ensure quality and efficiency, and meet production goals. You will troubleshoot with senior staff and document in-process results.

The role requires 2+ years as a machinist, with knowledge of G-code/M-code and GD&T, plus blueprint reading. Night shift carries a 25% differential; onsite work in Monticello.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Machining or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of machinist experience.
• Experience with Mori Seiki or DMG Mori Turn preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mill/Turn machines to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues with supervision and engineers to maintain flow.
• Perform in-process inspections and document results against specs.
• Assist junior machinists and operators to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Maintain a safe, proactive safety culture on the shop floor.
