Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support U.S. Army equipment turn-in at a contractor site.

You will operate forklifts, loaders, cranes and other heavy gear, and perform PMCS while documenting movements and maintaining logs. Responsibilities include safety compliance, securement, and coordination with Supply Technicians and Truck Drivers to enable timely inspections, turn-ins, and outbound shipments; candidate must meet licensing and background requirements with

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and Army OF 346 license required (or ability to obtain).
• Forklift/MHE certification preferred; 2–4 years heavy equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, cranes and RTCHs to move vehicles and materiel.
• Perform PMCS and report deficiencies, maintain logs and records.
• Adhere to Army/OSHA safety regulations and proper load securement.
• Support documentation and audit readiness with DA 1348-1A and related forms.
• Coordinate with supply and transport teams to ensure smooth operations.
