Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support Army equipment turn-in operations. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and heavy machinery, moving materiel, and ensuring secure loading/unloading with adherence to Army safety standards.

The role requires a valid license, potential Army OF 346 certification, and the ability to travel up to 25% for site operations. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Army OF 346 equipment operator’s license or ability to obtain.
• Forklift/MHE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, cranes and RTCHs.
• Move vehicles and materiel between staging, inspection, and storage areas.
• Load/unload equipment and secure cargo per Army/DOT standards.
• Assist with mass turn-in events and maintain operator logs.
