Job summary

East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Inc. seeks anInstrumentation/Control Technician to ensure proper operation of combustion turbines and associated systems. You will calibrate instruments, maintain controls, and oversee relay and data acquisition equipment in a power generation environment.

Strong reading of schematics, field troubleshooting, and ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts are essential. A technical maintenance background with compliance to safety standards is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's/technical degree preferred in industrial maintenance.
• Three years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general facility maintenance duties.
• Inspects and/or repair pumps.
• Rebuilds valves.
• Monitors, operates, and controls combustion turbines and auxiliary equipment.
• Installs, calibrates, and tests instruments and transmitters.
• Maintains automatic controls for multiple systems.
• Performs hardware/software modifications on control systems.
• Operates overhead crane and water treatment plant.
