Qualifications

• Two years of roadway maintenance or related experience and training.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Respond to traffic incidents and assist motorists and first responders to restore traffic flow.
• Perform routine and emergency tunnel maintenance such as cleaning drainage, sweeping, painting, and debris removal.
• Monitor tunnel conditions, carbon monoxide levels, fire risks, and other safety indicators.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and first responders by phone, radio, and in person.
• Patrol HOV lanes, assist motorists, control traffic, and operate gates during openings/closures.
• Operate towing equipment to move disabled vehicles using hydraulic controls and gear.
