Geneva Lakes Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Tumbling Instructor to lead classes for children aged 2–14. Classes run Thursdays from 5 to 7 PM. The instructor will plan, prepare, and teach tumbling sessions, set up equipment, and ensure a safe environment at all times.

The role requires strong communication with parents and children, and adherence to YMCA safety policies. A free YMCA family membership is offered to the employee household if hired.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Experience working with youth aged 2–14.
• Experience teaching gymnastics or dance preferred.

Description

Thursdays 5-7PM - Under the supervision and guidance of the Sports Operation Director, we are looking for someone to teach Tumbling and to groups of children between the ages of 2-14. Free family YMCA membership for applicants household if hired.

Requirements

• Implement program ideas.
• Plan, prepare and lead classes.
• Setting up equipment and mats for programs.
• Ensure safe and risk free environment at all times while meeting the individual needs of the participants.
• Act as a role model, exhibit good judgment and have a strong awareness of safety; know and understand all emergency procedures.
• Be responsible for solving problems in a positive manner and operate in a busy atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Adult, Child & Infant CPR/AED/First Aid certification required or obtain within 60 days of hire
• Experience working with youth between 2-14
• Experience teaching or participating in gymnastics, and or dance
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
• Ability to work independently
• Must possess excellent child/parent communication skills
• Must complete and clear a background/criminal history check
• Must complete Child Abuse Prevention video course prior to first day on duty
