Ymca Of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Program Instructor of Gymnastics/Tumbling at Jordan YMCA in Indianapolis, IN. This part-time role delivers quality gymnastics and motor-skill instruction, maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.

The ideal candidate will have experience in gymnastics or teaching, ability to supervise children aged preschool to middle school, and basic spotting knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous gymnastics/tumbling or teaching experience preferred.
• Minimum age 16 years.
• Basic spotting techniques knowledge preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic technique and form.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality leadership and supervision in gymnastics and tumbling classes.
• Maintain a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
• Communicate with children aged preschool to middle school.
• Inspect participation space for safety and ensure proper supervision.

The Program Instructor of Gymnastics/ Tumbling will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision in gymnastics, tumbling and/ or motor skill classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in gymnastics/ tumbling or teaching is preferred.


• A minimum of 16 years of age.


• Basic knowledge of spotting techniques used in gymnastics preferred.


• Ability to demonstrate basic technique and form.


• Ability to communicate with preschool to middle school aged children.


• Visually inspect participation space for safety.


• Maintain current certifications in First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
