Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, PA seeks a punctual, detail-oriented tubing attendant to support the snow tubing operation. You will load/unload the conveyor lift, send guests down the tubing lanes and help guests at the bottom to ensure a high-quality experience.

This outdoor, physically demanding role requires teamwork, safety awareness and reliable attendance, even in cold weather and during holidays. A season pass benefit and resort discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills with a willingness to initiate guest contact in a friendly manner.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Willingness and ability to work in a physically demanding position outdoors in winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload the conveyor lift for tubing guests.
• Send guests down tubing lanes and expedite them after the ride.
• Maintain safety and orderly lines at the top and bottom of the hill.
• Set up, transport and take down signage, fencing, and mats as needed.
• Keep tubing areas clean and free of debris; assist guests as needed.
• Maintain company assets (radios, tools) in good condition.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Do you love the thrills of the winter season, and making guests smile? You’re in luck, we are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest with an experience that is beyond their expectations and creates a guest for life. This individual will be joining our snow tubing team and who will be responsible for loading/unloading of the conveyor lift, sending of guests down the tubing lanes, and expediting those guests when they reach the bottom of the hill while ensuring the guests have a quality experience.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work outdoors and able to stand for extended periods of time on uneven surfaces and in inclement weather.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a willingness to initiate guest contact in a friendly manner.
• Willingness and ability to work in a physically demanding position - assisting guests at the top and bottom of the tubing hills.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Timely and reliable attendance is essential even in inclement weather and must be available to work a flexible workweek including holidays and weekends. Weekday daytime availability currently preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.

What You Can Expect

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service and information to the guests
• Always enforce safety regulations and rules of the hill and follow all departmental standard operating procedures.
• Setup, transport and take down signage, fencing, and mats daily as needed.
• Always keep tubes stacked neatly and keep tubing areas clean and free of debris.
• Shovel and salt as needed to ensure safe walkways.
• Maintain control of lines at the top and bottom of the hill
• Maintain fire in fire pits to add to the guest experience.
• Responsible for keeping company assets safe and in good working condition (e. radios, drills, etc.)
• Entertain guests that are waiting for a turn.
