Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, PA is seeking a punctual, detail-oriented tubing attendant to support our snow tubing operation. You will load/unload the conveyor lift, guide guests down lanes, and help ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, able to work in inclement weather, and willing to work holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load/unload conveyor lift with guests.
• Send guests down tubing lanes and expedite at bottom.
• Ensure guests have a quality experience and follow safety rules.
• Setup, transport, and take down signage, fencing, and mats as needed.
• Keep tubing areas clean and hazard-free; assist guests at top/bottom of hills.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Do you love the thrills of the winter season, and making guests smile? You’re in luck, we are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest with an experience that is beyond their expectations and creates a guest for life. This individual will be joining our snow tubing team and who will be responsible for loading/unloading of the conveyor lift, sending of guests down the tubing lanes, and expediting those guests when they reach the bottom of the hill while ensuring the guests have a quality experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be willing to work outdoors and able to stand for extended periods of time on uneven surfaces and in inclement weather.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a willingness to initiate guest contact in a friendly manner.
• Willingness and ability to work in a physically demanding position - assisting guests at the top and bottom of the tubing hills.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Timely and reliable attendance is essential even in inclement weather and must be available to work a flexible workweek including holidays and weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service and information to the guests
• Always enforce safety regulations and rules of the hill and follow all departmental standard operating procedures.
• Setup, transport and take down signage, fencing, and mats daily as needed.
• Always keep tubes stacked neatly and keep tubing areas clean and free of debris.
• Shovel and salt as needed to ensure safe walkways.
• Maintain control of lines at the top and bottom of the hill
• Maintain fire in fire pits to add to the guest experience.
• Responsible for keeping company assets safe and in good working condition (e. radios, drills, etc.)
• Entertain guests that are waiting for a turn.
