Job summary

Valmont Industries in Valley, Nebraska is seeking a Tubeline Machine Operator to learn the burnisher, straightener, saw and buffer operations to produce high quality tubes. The incumbent operates an overhead crane, plate blaster, and forklift and maintains the tube line equipment.

Qualifications

• 0–6 months manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pass forklift test per safety department.
• Strong math and reading comprehension.
• Ability to communicate and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Operate tubing line equipment and perform welding repairs as needed.
• Operate forklift to move material in shop areas.
• Support supervisor and meet customer requests.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
