Job summary

Leidos in Suitland, MD is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator III to support mission critical infrastructure. You will administer and maintain Windows server environments, implement secure, high availability enterprise services, and support global operations.

The ideal candidate holds an active TS/SCI clearance, CompTIA Security+ and Windows Server certifications, with hands-on experience in AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, Azure, RDS, VMware, and desktop management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance (in DISS).
Active CompTIA Security+ certification and an active Windows Server operating system certification.
Extensive experience administering enterprise Windows environments, including AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, Azure, RDS, VMware, Omnissa, desktop management, and Windows Server services.
Experience performing advanced system troubleshooting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Administer and manage advanced Windows Server environments and Microsoft enterprise services.
Maintain daily system operations by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues affecting servers, applications, and OS.
Perform performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization for reliable performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows Server issues.
Research, document, and recommend new system technologies and improvements.
Review and implement IAVAs and IAVBs.
Install, configure, secure, maintain, document, troubleshoot, and administer SQL databases for optimal performance.
Support global operations by maintaining secure, resilient Windows infrastructure environments.
Travel may be required to support other U.S. Navy commands (CONUS/OCONUS).
