Job summary

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Systems Administrator to support government customers in the Washington, DC area. You will monitor systems, apply patches, harden security, and work closely with ISSO, vendors, and end users to meet timelines.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or the ability to obtain, 8+ years of system administration experience, STIG implementation, and experience with SQL Server or Oracle on Windows and Linux.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or ability to obtain
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of experience
• Minimum 8 years of System Administration experience
• Active Security+ (DoD 8570 Baseline for IAT Level II)
• Experience with STIG implementation
• Experience maintaining SQL Server or Oracle databases
• Experience writing PowerShell scripts
• Strong Windows 2016+ and Red Hat Linux 8+ experience
• Experience with AWS and VMware
• Ability to perform occasional after-hours tasks and maintain documentation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government customers, Project Lead, ISSO, Vendor, and End Users.
• Perform daily system monitoring and monthly patching tasks.
• Troubleshoot network and application performance issues and recommend actions.
• Respond to system issues via ticketing system; may be on-site after hours.
• Deploy patches monthly during off-hours at customer location.
• Implement system hardening via STIGs and patching.
• Provide support for Oracle/SQL Server databases on Windows and CentOS.
• Create/update documentation for SOPs, STPs, SIPs, SAG, SUM, and ICD.
