TS/SCI Systems Engineer — DoD IT & Security Ops

Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK to support an Air Force Life Cycle Management Center program. You will configure, monitor, and secure systems, working with cross-functional teams on-site for deployments and updates.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, DoD 8140/8570 IAM II certifications, and strong Linux/Windows expertise. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI prior to start date.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience or Master's with 1+ years experience.
• DoD 8140 intermediate certification or DoD 8570 IAM Level II or higher.
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, or similar directory services.
• Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows environments, networking protocols (HTTP/HTTPS/SSL/TLS/DNS).
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills; able to structure unstructured info.
• Self-starter who can work independently with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to support customer sites and perform hardware installation and configuration.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers (physical and virtual).
• Monitor performance, tune systems, troubleshoot for high availability and reliability.
• Identify and resolve issues in complex systems or networks.
• Manage system patches, upgrades, and security hardening per DoD policies.
• Support backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity.
• Assist in managing system access, user accounts, and security configurations.
• Collaborate with IT teams for software deployments and integration.
• Maintain up-to-date system documentation.
• Participate in incident response for performance, security, and availability issues.
• Coordinate with Government network owners for new locations.
