Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK to advance security within the DevOps lifecycle for a DoD program. The role emphasizes integrating security controls, automation, and threat modeling across CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of DevSecOps experience, strong Linux/Windows, cloud, and container tooling, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on secure coding and incident response.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years.
• Three to five years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software development paradigms and supporting technologies (change management, version control, CI/CD, Jira or GitLab).
• Experience with Linux and Windows OS, networking protocols.
• Experience provisioning resources in IaaS/Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar tools.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter able to work independently and with teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of security into the DevOps pipeline for DoD apps.
• Automate security tools and processes in CI/CD workflows.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and remediation.
• Collaborate with development and operations for secure coding practices.
• Configure and manage security tools incl. SAST/DAST/IAST and IaC security.
• Participate in incident response, monitor security alerts, and coordinate responses.
• Mentor junior team members on DevSecOps best practices and tools.
