Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Software Test Engineer (Active TS/SCI with Polygraph) to support full‑lifecycle software testing for mission‑critical systems in Columbia, MD. The role involves designing and maintaining test plans, automated test suites, and dedicated test environments across Linux and Windows.

You will execute integration, acceptance, performance, and security testing, develop automated tests in Python, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 6+ years of software test engineering experience or equivalent
• Master’s degree with 4+ years experience (Master’s substituting for 2 years)
• 10 years of relevant software test engineering experience without a degree

Responsibilities

• Design, build, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, automated test suites, and testing workflows.
• Provision, configure, and maintain dedicated test environments and automated testing infrastructure.
• Perform I&T and Acceptance Testing to ensure adherence to requirements.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python.
• Execute performance, load, stress, security testing; use code coverage tools.
• Configure Linux and Windows OS; manage test apps and network devices.
• Document test results; log discrepancies and track remediations.
• Support hardware problem dispatch and testing in lab environments.
