Job summary

ALEX - Alternative Experts, LLC is seeking two Software Engineers (Level 2) to support software development and full life cycle testing of mission systems in a SCIF environment at Columbia, MD / Annapolis Junction, MD. On-site role requiring TS/SCI with FSP clearance and experience with Python, Linux, and test automation.

The role emphasizes test plan creation, environment automation, and integration testing across the software life cycle, with collaboration across teams in a SECURE environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in software development and full life cycle testing of mission systems.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining test plans, cases, and processes.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining test environments and automated test capabilities.
• Performance, load, and stress testing experience.
• Data interface testing and user interface testing experience.
• Security testing experience.
• Experience with code coverage tools.
• Systems integration testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test processes for mission system software across the full software life cycle.
• Create and maintain test environments and automated test capabilities; develop and maintain test automation primarily in Python.
• Perform Integration & Testing and Acceptance Testing of mission system components and end-to-end workflows.
• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing; user interface testing; data interface testing; security testing; and systems integration testing.
• Apply code coverage tools and analyze results to drive test completeness and defect detection.
• Report and track software problems through resolution; document test results and contribute to defect triage.
