Job summary

J&T Business Consulting in Laurel, MD is seeking a Software Engineer (Level 2/3) with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to design, prototype, and enhance compliance analytics and data processing systems.

You will develop ML components, build predictive models, and integrate with enterprise platforms using Python, Java, Scala, and SQL in a Linux environment while collaborating with Jira/Confluence for documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution with at least 14 years of software engineering experience on similar programs, OR 18 years of experience without a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Advanced development experience using Python, Java, and/or Scala in Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn, Random Forest, feature engineering, Jupyter Notebooks, Lucene, JEXL, SQL, JSON, and MapReduce distributed frameworks.
• Proficiency with IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse), Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with customer compliance authorities, enterprise systems, and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and maintain compliance automation tools and analytics.
• Implement, test, and validate ML/AI algorithms in an R&D environment.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and feature engineering on complex datasets.
• Build, deploy, and monitor ML models, data flows, and telemetry.
• Integrate distributed MapReduce workflows with backend data pipelines.
• Develop full-stack and analytical software using Python, Java, Scala, SQL, and JSON in Linux.
• Collaborate using Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab/Bitbucket and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
