Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Software Engineer to support a Ground Solutions and Mission Support Software IPT. The role is 100% on-site in a restricted access facility in Redondo Beach, CA, with a focus on developing and sustaining mission-critical software product lines.

The position requires advanced C++ OO skills, experience on Linux (RHEL), and the ability to work in an agile team with cross-functional engineers. Security clearances and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5–8 years of experience, a Master's in STEM with 3–6 years, or a PhD in STEM with 1–4 years; 4 years of relevant software experience may substitute for a degree.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills and proficiency with C++.
• Knowledge of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a C++ software developer in an agile team environment with RHEL VMs, servers, and workstations.
• Design, code, and unit test new software capabilities per Mathematical Algorithm Requirements.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and provide software fixes for Discrepancy Reports.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and senior staff engineers across multiple software subsystems.
