Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our Ground Solutions and Mission Support IPT. The role is 100% on-site in a SCIF at Redondo Beach, CA, working on next-generation ground systems and GEM deliverables for CONUS/OCONUS sites.

Responsibilities include C++ development in an Agile setting, designing and testing new capabilities per MARs, and collaborating with SMEs across subsystems. Active SSBI/SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5-8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3–6 years, or a PhD with 1–4 years (an additional 4 years of relevant SW experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Active SSBI required at application, ability to obtain SCI prior to start date
• Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills and proficiency with C++
• Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
• Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

• Perform as a C++ SW developer in an agile team environment with RHEL VMs, servers, and workstations
• Design, code, and unit test new SW capabilities per MARs
• Identify, troubleshoot, and turnover SW fixes to DRs
• Collaborate with SW IPT SMEs and senior staff engineers across multiple subsystems
