Job summary

RTX in Fullerton, CA is hiring a Software Engineer II to design, implement, and deploy real-time mission-critical software onsite.

You will work in an Agile team using C/C++ and Python, participate in design reviews, CI/CD, and develop documentation while ensuring smooth integration with systems, test, and data engineers.

A STEM degree and at least 2 years of experience are expected; eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in C/C++ and Python for application development.
• Experience across SDLC phases (design, code, test) for large systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software applications in C/C++ and Python.
• Work in an Agile team to develop real-time data processing across distributed systems.
• Participate in design reviews, CM, and automated testing in CI/CD.
• Collaborate with systems, test, and data engineering teams to integrate components.
• Develop technical documentation and contribute to design reviews.
• Some travel to customer sites for testing and deployment.
