Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD, on-site, First shift, with Top Secret/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph. The position involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems based on documented requirements.

You will review, test, and resolve software issues, participate in design trade-offs, and contribute to system-level requirements analysis from component level upward.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software engineering experience or 14 years equivalent when substituting for a degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with Go, Python, Terraform, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing databases or data repositories.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
• Lead software development teams as appropriate.
• Modify existing software to correct errors or adapt to new hardware.
