Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Software Tester to support a large-scale data analytics platform for U.S. Government intelligence analysts.

You will work with software engineers, systems engineers, DevOps, and end users to ensure quality, reliability, performance, and usability of mission-critical applications. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on testing in distributed systems, and ability to operate in an Agile environment supporting national security missions.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required for consideration, CI Poly may be needed.
• Minimum 14 years total tech experience with 5+ years in software testing/QA.
• Experience testing web apps, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Python, JavaScript).
• Understanding of defect tracking tools like Jira or TestRail.
• BS in Systems Engineering, GIS, Computer Systems Analysis, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• SCIF presence a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans and cases.
• Validate functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability of web and data-centric apps.
• Perform integration, regression, system, and UAT testing across distributed environments.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using issue trackers.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and admins to troubleshoot issues.
• Support CI/CD testing activities and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Verify data integrity and data flow in analytics and ingestion pipelines.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and continuous quality improvements.
• Rigorously document test processes.
