Vantor in Herndon, VA seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer (TS/SCI) to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of a large-scale big data analytics platform for national security missions. You will design and execute tests, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to test automation in an Agile environment.

Applicants must have an active TS/SCI clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and be willing to work on-site.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required.
• Minimum of 14 years total professional experience in technical roles, with 5+ years in software testing/QA.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail) and test management.
• BS in Systems Engineering, GIS, Computer Systems Analysis, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans and cases.
• Validate functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability of web-based and data-centric apps.
• Perform integration, regression, system, and UAT testing across distributed environments.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects; collaborate with developers and admins to resolve issues.
• Support CI/CD testing and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Verify data integrity across large-scale analytics and ingestion pipelines.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and quality improvement initiatives.
• Document detailed test processes.
