Job summary

SSA LLC is seeking a Platform Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support a Federal program. The role demands 3–6 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, strong containerization, and secure design practices suitable for TS/SCI environments.

You will implement scalable clusters, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and robust monitoring while collaborating with engineering and security teams. Qualifications include hands-on AWS/GCP/Azure experience, Terraform or CloudFormation, and proficiency with GitOps tools.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of platform engineering experience in cloud-native environments.
• Hands-on Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and security.
• Proficient with Docker and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Tekton).
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Familiar with GitOps workflows and Argo CD.
• Solid Linux/Unix administration and networking knowledge.
• Ability to work in TS/SCI environments with appropriate clearance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, secure, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for containerized apps.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
• Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD.
• Ensure security, RBAC, secret management, and vulnerability scanning.
• Monitor, log, and diagnose performance issues with Prometheus/Grafana/etc.
• Troubleshoot stack end-to-end across infra and apps.
• Collaborate with developers, security, and operations teams.
