Job summary

Raft is seeking a DevOps Engineer to secure, deploy, and operate platforms behind our AI/ML workloads. You’ll learn production Kubernetes workloads, build CI/CD and GitOps workflows, and ensure secure configuration across cloud, on-premises, and edge deployments.

The role spans CI/CD, Helm/Kustomize, observability, and compliance with RMF, STIGs, and NIST controls. Remote/onsite mix in the continental US with up to 30% travel; Secret clearance eligible required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps or closely related roles.
• Familiarity with Linux, containers, Docker, and Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines and GitOps tooling.
• Infrastructure as Code/configuration management experience (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kustomize).
• Understanding of security practices: least privilege, vulnerability management, auditability.
• Basic scripting/programming ability (Go, Java, Python, Bash).
• Interest in data platforms, MLOps, and operational AI/ML workloads.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Active Secret clearance eligibility and willingness to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows using GitLab CI, Argo CD, Flux, Helm, and repository-managed deployment configurations.
• Support secure software delivery practices including container hardening and vulnerability scanning.
• Operate cloud, on-premises, and disconnected deployments across AWS, Azure, data centers, and tactical environments.
• Deploy and debug services, Helm charts, service mesh configuration, Kubernetes networking, storage, and runtime behavior.
• Support observability across Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and similar tools.
• Collaborate with software and data engineers to understand service dependencies and data flows.
• Support data and MLOps workloads with Kafka, Flink, KServe, Kubeflow, Ray; write automation/tools in Go/Java/Python/Bash.
• Document procedures and troubleshooting steps for repeatable operations.
• Contribute to RMF, STIGs, NIST 800-53, IL4/IL5/IL6 compliance delivery.
