Job summary

Set of X is seeking experienced system administration professionals to join a new long-term effort to consolidate diverse systems into a cohesive solution that improves manageability and security while enhancing user experience. You will be part of the early stages of this high-visibility project and help build a sound foundation for success.

The role involves working with current owners, translating requirements into scalable solutions, and implementing the final architecture.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with RedHat, CentOS or UNIX environments.
• Experience managing NiFi data flows across systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and VMware ESX/NSX/VSAN or similar.
• Automation experience using Ansible or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of STIG/CIS security hardening and compliance.
• Proficient in installing, hardening, patching and backup/restoration of Linux systems.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments for mixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with current owners and admins to understand existing systems and gaps.
• Provide input for future architecture and long-term visions.
• Deliver system administration to fix problems or implement stop-gap solutions during transition.
• Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable long-term solutions.
• Implement and support final solution(s).
• Participate in frequent internal engineering and strategy meetings.
• Build direct customer relationships to improve feedback loops.
