Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an Installation Technician to install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot IT equipment and systems within DIA facilities. This role may supervise other technicians and ensures SOPs, information assurance, and asset management practices are followed.

The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI clearance and 5+ years deploying enterprise IT networks, with DoD/IC experience in system testing and ITSM processes.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience deploying, integrating, and maintaining enterprise or global IT networks and systems, preferably in DoD/IC environments.
• Hands-on experience with IT equipment, software, and system installations, testing, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT services, infrastructure operations, and operational support environments.
• Experience with ITSM, customer relationship management, change management, and risk management processes.
• Familiarity with ICD 503, DCID 6/3, DIA-CAP, and applicable NIST publications.
• Proficiency working in classified IT environments, including proper handling procedures and security requirements.
• Understanding of IT asset management, configuration management, and lifecycle processes.
• Experience supporting DIA or IC missions.
• Familiarity with facility-based IT infrastructure and environmental controls.
• Ability to support after-hours, on-call, or emergency operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and systems within DIA facilities.
• Supervise and coordinate installation and assembly activities performed by other technicians.
• Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure operational functionality.
• Investigate equipment and system failures, determine root causes, and perform or coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain and support facility IT infrastructure, equipment, systems, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, technical standards, and procedures.
• Support IT asset life cycle management including deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Assist with change management, risk management, and IT service management activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to installations, configurations, and repairs.
• Support operations in classified IT environments, adhering to security requirements.
• Ensure compliance with information assurance and cybersecurity requirements.
