Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking an Installation Technician to install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot IT equipment and systems within DIA facilities in the Washington, DC area. The role requires operating independently and may supervise other technicians to ensure SOPs, information assurance, and asset management practices are followed.

The candidate must have a TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of related experience, and a degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field, with DoD/IC

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 5+ years deploying and maintaining enterprise IT networks, preferably DoD/IC environments.
• Hands-on experience with IT equipment installations, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT services and infrastructure operations.
• Experience with ITSM, change management, and risk management processes.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and systems in DIA facilities.
• Supervise installation activities by other technicians.
• Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure operability.
• Investigate failures, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain facility IT infrastructure and lifecycle management of assets.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, standards, and procedures.
• Support after-hours or emergency operations as needed.
