Job summary

Capital Solutions Group seeks an Expert HPC Network/Systems Engineer to provide Tier 4 HPC support at Ft. Meade and related sites.

The role requires configuring and tuning high-performance file systems (XFS, GPFS, Lustre) and solving complex issues across HPC farm systems, with tools like Nagios, xcat, and SLURM. The candidate must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher, a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years experience or an equivalent combination, and be capable of advanced

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR
No Degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR
Ten (10) years’ experience in a large and complex IT environment providing industry and government recognized functional expertise with the skills listed above.
Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
NOTE: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 4 HPC support to Ft. Meade and UDC sites.
Configure, tune, test and advanced level troubleshooting and support of high- performance file systems such as XFS, GPFS and Lustre.
Advanced level troubleshooting and support of HPC farm systems and applications such as Nagios, xcat, failover software, and compilers.
Working knowledge of HPC MPP systems.
Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level troubleshooting of distributed computing tools such as RES, LSF, and SLURM.
Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced level troubleshooting of RedHat and SUSE operating systems.
