Job summary

CSG, Inc. in Fort Meade, MD is seeking an Expert HPC Network/Systems Engineer to provide Tier 4 HPC support at Ft. Meade and satellite sites.

You will configure and optimize high‑performance file systems such as XFS, GPFS, and Lustre, and perform advanced troubleshooting of HPC farm systems and critical applications. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, with a Bachelor’s degree or 15 years of equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required.
• TS/SCI with polygraph required for the role.
• Extensive experience in large, complex IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 4 HPC support at Ft. Meade and UDC sites.
• Configure, tune, test and troubleshoot high-performance file systems (XFS, GPFS, Lustre).
• Troubleshoot HPC farm systems and applications (Nagios, xcat, failover software, compilers).
• Work with HPC MPP systems; manage distributed computing tools (RES, LSF, SLURM).
• Configure and tune RedHat and SUSE operating systems.

POSITION: Expert HPC Network/Systems Engineer

LOCATION:Ft. Meade, Maryland

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• (U) Provide Tier 4 HPC support to Ft. Meade and UDC sites.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level troubleshooting and support of high- performance file systems such as XFS, GPFS and Lustre.
• (U) Advanced level troubleshooting and support of HPC farm systems and associated applications such as Nagios, xcat, failover software, and compilers.
• (U) Working knowledge of HPC MPP systems.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level troubleshooting and support of distributed computing tools such as RES, LSF, and SLURM.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced level troubleshooting of RedHat and Suse operating systems.

LCAT QUALIFICATIONS:

CERTIFICATION: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR
• No Degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR
• Ten (10) years’ experience in a large and complex IT environment providing industry and government recognized functional expertise with the skills listed above.
• Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

NOTE: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
