Capital-Solutions-Group in Ft. Meade, MD, seeks an Expert HPC Network/Systems Engineer to provide Tier 4 HPC support, configure and troubleshoot high-performance file systems (XFS, GPFS, Lustre), and manage HPC farm systems and distributed computing tools.

Candidates must hold DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and have a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience or no degree with 15+ years; TS/SCI with polygraph required.

• Alternative: No Degree with 15 years minimum experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 4 HPC support for Ft. Meade and UDC sites.
• Configure, tune, test and troubleshoot high-performance file systems (XFS, GPFS, Lustre).
• Troubleshoot HPC farm systems and related applications (Nagios, xcat, failover software, compilers).
• Work with HPC MPP systems.
• Configure, tune, test distributed computing tools (RES, LSF, SLURM).
• Configure, tune, test RedHat and Suse operating systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• (U) Provide Tier 4 HPC support to Ft. Meade and UDC sites.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level troubleshooting and support of high- performance file systems such as XFS, GPFS and Lustre.
• (U) Advanced level troubleshooting and support of HPC farm systems and associated applications such as Nagios, xcat, failover software, and compilers.
• (U) Working knowledge of HPC MPP systems.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level troubleshooting and support of distributed computing tools such as RES, LSF, and SLURM.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced level troubleshooting of RedHat and Suse operating systems.

LCAT QUALIFICATIONS

CERTIFICATION: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR
• No Degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR
• Ten (10) years’ experience in a large and complex IT environment providing industry and government recognized functional expertise with the skills listed above.
• Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

NOTE: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
