Job summary

CSG, Inc. seeks an Expert HPC Network/Systems Engineer in Fort Meade, MD. TS/SCI with Polygraph required. You will provide Tier 4 HPC support, tune high-performance file systems, and troubleshoot HPC farm systems and distributed computing tools.

Responsibilities include configuring RedHat/SUSE OS, supporting XFS/GPFS/Lustre, and integrating tools like Nagios, xcat, LSF, and SLURM for mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years minimum IT experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is required
• Ten years of experience in large, complex IT environments with HPC expertise
• Five years can substitute for a bachelor’s degree in relevant cases

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 4 HPC support to Ft. Meade and UDC sites.
• Configure, tune, test and troubleshoot high-performance file systems (XFS, GPFS, Lustre).
• Troubleshoot HPC farm systems and applications (Nagios, xcat, failover software, compilers).
• Work with HPC MPP systems and distributed computing tools (RES, LSF, SLURM).
• Configure Linux distros (RedHat, SUSE) and related OS components.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• (U) Provide Tier 4 HPC support to Ft. Meade and UDC sites.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level troubleshooting and support of high- performance file systems such as XFS, GPFS and Lustre.
• (U) Advanced level troubleshooting and support of HPC farm systems and associated applications such as Nagios, xcat, failover software, and compilers.
• (U) Working knowledge of HPC MPP systems.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level troubleshooting and support of distributed computing tools such as RES, LSF, and SLURM.
• (U) Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced level troubleshooting of RedHat and Suse operating systems.

LCAT QUALIFICATIONS

CERTIFICATION: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR
• No Degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR
• Ten (10) years’ experience in a large and complex IT environment providing industry and government recognized functional expertise with the skills listed above.
• Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

NOTE: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
