Job summary

Vantor seeks a GIS DevOps Engineer to power spatial intelligence, designing scalable services for geospatial data at scale. You will build and sustain platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities while supporting security and governance standards across teams.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with TS/SCI poly, have 4+ years in technical roles, and be proficient with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, and CI/CD tools. Remote SCIF duties in Herndon, VA or St. Louis, MO may apply.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain a CI poly).
• Minimum of 4 years total professional experience in a technical support role.
• Demonstrated technical experience with DevSecOps.
• Demonstrated experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker or CRI-O.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
• Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums.
• Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment with some on-call or after-hours onsite support for customer’s mission in either Herndon, VA or St. Louis, MO.
• Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and/or on-prem environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery.
• Implement infrastructure as code.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and optimize systems.
• Develop and maintain platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
