Job summary

Agile Defense seeks a Systems Integration Engineer to build and maintain external data interfaces, schemas, and data services. The role focuses on multi-classification data handling, lineage tracing, and robust API design across REST and gRPC platforms.

You will collaborate with the Lead Software Architect and full-stack engineers to ensure secure, auditable data flows from source to recommendation, with government approvals integrated into delivery plans.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data schemas in Protobuf, JSON Schema or Avro.
• Built REST or gRPC services and MCP servers.
• Implemented ETL and streaming pipelines in production.
• Handled data at multiple classification levels in DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop external data interfaces and data services with multi-classification support.
• Ensure data lineage and record linkage accompany recommendations.
• Collaborate with architects and full-stack engineers across integration tracks.
• Prepare for government approvals and maintain interface documentation.
